How Many Teams Qualify For World Cup Qualifiers Asia?

The World Cup is being held in Russia in June 2022, and the opening two rounds of qualifying serve as the AFC Asian Cup. The second round of the qualification will be held in March 2022 in Qatar. The group will feature 40 teams, which will then play their home and away matches. The four best teams will advance to the next round. If the Asian Qualifiers are completed successfully, the top two will advance to the third round. The other group will feature the fifth-placed team. If it is not, the group will be held in China, and the fourth-placed team will participate in the tournament as well.
